To become a member of this professional Society requires outstanding achievements in biophysical research evidenced by significant research publications in well-established journals and contributions to Biophysical Society meetings. In addition, recommendations from two established investigators who are active members of the Society are required.
The purpose of the Biophysical Society is to encourage the developments and dissemination of knowledge in biophysics. Membership is open to scientists who share the stated purpose of the Society and who have educational, research or practical experiences in biophysics or in an allied scientific field.
