Drafting the Cover Letter to USCIS
The cover letter submitted to the Immigration Service must explain how you meet the legal requirements to receive approval in the category in which you are applying. There are different legal standards for EB-1A Extraordinary Ability Alien, EB-1B Outstanding Professors and Researchers, and EB-2 National Interest Waiver and the cover letter must be tailored to each individual category.
The cover letter prepared by Getson & Schatz, P.C. will:
- Set forth the category in which you are applying and how you meet the legal requirements for approval in the category.
- Provide background information about your field of research so the Immigration Officer understands the context of your research accomplishments.
- Summarize each of your research findings, the importance of each of your research findings, and the recognition conferred upon each of your research findings.
- Identify the evidence being submitted in support of your petition and how that evidence qualifies you for approval.
We clearly explain to the Immigration Officer why you are legally eligible to receive a green card based on your research accomplishments.
